Outage from 10 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday
HILO, March 20, 2025 – Hawaiian Electric crews will replace and upgrade equipment in the company’s substation located on Old Mamalahoa Highway in Honomu on March 27.
The overnight work will require a power outage for customers in Honomu from 10 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, to 6 a.m. on Friday, March 28. Impacted customers have been notified.
Road closures are not expected, but motorists are advised to drive with caution when approaching the work zone. Flagmen will be onsite to provide traffic control.
