HILO, March 31, 2025 – Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole on Walua Road in Kona on Tuesday, April 1. The work requires a closure of Walua Road, between Akoni Drive and Ainanani Street, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to drive with caution if approaching the work zone. Flagmen will be onsite to assist motorists and pedestrians while the work is being performed.
