6 HFD apparatus; 15 HFD personnel

Cause:UNKNOWN

Loss:80% / $252,000

Single story 3 bedroom house. post and pier wood frame construction, vaulted ceilings with open beams. 2 car Carport.

Once fire was under control, the area that had the most damage was located by the breaker box and an appliance. I was unable to determine what kind of appliance it was. Not sure if that was a cooking area like the kitchen. Across from this area was the porch and it had burned through the flooring only in the area adjacent to Breaker box room. There were no furnishing in the main living room area that opened onto the Porch. This possibly contributed to the fast knock down of the fire.

House was showing heavy black smoke and flames coming from the Alpha, Bravo, Delta sides of the house. The Delta side had the closest exposure/house also the heaviest flame and heat. Neighbors had garden hoses out
