1500 Square feet single story wooden residential structure
Multiple HFD units and HPD were dispatched to 16-2077 Treefern Dr in the Ainaloa subdivision for a garage fire. Upon arrival Co-10 found a 25′ x 50′ single story wooden framed residential type structure with some contents in the corner of the open car port involved in fire. Per bystanders at the scene there was no-one in the structure.
HPD had arrived on scene and was able to extinguish the majority of the fire with a garden hose just prior to HFD arrival. The remaining smoldering fire was fully extinguished and the walls and ceiling of the garage overhauled in search of fire extension. The other HFD units were stood down. The owners arrived on scene and requested an arson investigation be opened due to suspicious cirmunstances noticed by them. Per the owners the house had just been remodled and was vacant at the time of the fire. Fire inspectors notified and the scene was left in care of HPD awaiting arrival of fire inspectors.
