Due to the High Surf Warning and Coastal Flooding, please be advised:

  • Other beach parks may close without notice.
  • Be aware that beaches could experience wave run-up and wash-over, especially during high tide.
  • Please heed all instructions given by Ocean Safety Officials.
  • Remember, when in doubt, don’t go out.
  • Those along south facing shores should take necessary precautions.

USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reports that Episode 49, of the ongoing Hale Ma`uma`u eruption, started this morning. Fountaining is occurring and ashfall is being observed southwest of the crater.
