Structure Fire…Lehua Road, Nanawale Estates

Structure fully involved in fire. 1 vehicle in the garage also burning. Unknown if occupant was inside structure

unknown. Reports from neighbors, resident playing with fire.

Pahoa Fire Station personnel, as well as other HFD units listed above, were dispatched to a structure fire. Initial reports were that the home had 4 occupants, with one unaccounted for. Upon arrival, found a 12′ x 20′ unpermitted structure fully involved with the roof collapsed and an SUV was also partially burning. A primary search was done of the perimeter of the structure and the surrounding area without locating the missing party. The fire was extinguished and overhauled. After which, a secondary search was also performed amongst the debris. HPD also conducted a search, inclusive of interviewing witnesses and neighbors with negative findings. The scene was left in the care of HPD and HFD Fire Inspector, for further investigation.

Unpermitted structure with various bicycles, vehicles and other materials strewn about the perimeter of the structure. No electricity or county water. Narrow unlit road.
