Stanley Gonsalves, 86, of Kohala died June 11 at home. Born in Kohala, he was retired from Waikoloa Beach Golf Course, had worked for the former Kohala Sugar Co. and Orchid Pacifica, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Kohala Senior Citizens and Kohala Senior Softball. Graveside urn committal service 10 a.m. Saturday (July 24) at Hawi County Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Madeline Gonsalves of Kohala; daughters, Lee Ann (Michael) Ashimine and Lanette Yamamoto of Kohala; sons, Stan Anthony (Renee) Gonsalves of Kohala and Neal Kimo (Shaurin) Gonsalves of Honokaa; brother, Dennis (Carol) Gonsalves of Hilo; sisters, Ruby Fukuyama of Arizona and Jane (Charles) Kircher of California; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
