Jose Valderama
Jose Barrios Valderama, 89, of Hilo, died May 9, 2022 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born June 2, 1932, in Kohala, he retired from Mauna Kea Sugar Co. and farmed for a hobby.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. June 8, 2022 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. Friends may also for Mass at 9:30 a.m. June 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section).
He is survived by wife, Lolita Valderama of Hilo; children, Delia (David) Wilson of the mainland, Alma (Daniel) Beall of Alaska, and Maggie (Andi) Agres-Valderama and Jovanni Valderama of Hilo; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martina Marinias and Catherine Valderama of Oahu, and Sofronia Villamar of California; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
