Ernest Caravalho, 77, of Ocean View died Dec. 13 at Yukio Okutsu Veterans State Home. Born in Kohala, he was a retired construction worker, a cowboy for Julian Gouveia, and a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. Graveside services noon Monday, Dec. 30 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Survived by sisters, Isabel Gomes of Honaunau, Ruby (Mel) Gacusana of Hilo, Jennifer (Lynn) Beaudet of Kauai, and Doris Matias of Capt.
