Ka Hua Naʻauao o ka Mahina: Kaulana Mahina Calendar Workshop
Presented by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs – East Hawai‘i Island Office
Tuesday, December 22 • 6–7:30 p.m.
Cultural practitioner and instructor Haunani Miyasato will lead this interactive virtual workshop about the kaulana mahina, or the Hawaiian lunar calendar. Participants will learn about traditional practices informed by kaulana mahina and how these practices helped to keep kānaka and nature in harmony for centuries. Registered participants will receive a kaulana mahina calendar poster by Kiʻi Kalo Productions valued at $40.
