Nicholas “Nicky” Vegas, 82, of Halaula died Feb. 15 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kohala, he was a retired dishwasher at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Private services at a later date. Survived by brother, Raymond (Christine) Vega of Hawi; sister, Roseline Noble of Hawi; aunt, Janet Branco of Paauilo; nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
