Eutiquia “Isiang” Ganado Valdez, 99, of Hawi died April 22 at home. Born in Candon, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a retired nut picker for the Kohala Macadamia Nut Plantation and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi and the Kohala Senior Citizens. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Survived by son, Efren (Evelyn) Valdez of Hawi; daughters, Ester (Carlos) Alinan of Hawi, Clarita Lima of Manila, Philippines, Aida (Eddie) Corpuz of Ookala and Nenita Castro of Hawi; brothers, Adiong Ganado and Ernesto Ganado of the Philippines; 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
