Nelson Joseph Caravalho, 76, of Kapaau died May 2 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in North Kohala, he was a retired truck driver for Yamada Transfer and the former Kohala Sugar Co., member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi and Kohala Kupuna Softball League. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Urn committal service 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Hawi Catholic Cemetery.
