COMMUNITY MEETING NOTICE
Hawi Renewable Development is proud to have provided clean
energy for the last 15 years to Hawai’i Island.
The 10.56 MW wind farm, located in Hawi, is
proposing a 20 year extension of the power purchase agreement with
Hawaiian Electric Company. The new agreement will
provide energy pricing lower than the cost of oil, and keep the
existing turbines and blades. Other minor equipment upgrades will be
completed, which will create jobs for local labor.
