Multiple HFD units and HPD were dispatched to a
structure fire at 16-2138 Hanale Drive in Ainaloa
Subdivision. Upon arrival found a 30’x40′ single story,
wood structure 25% involved in fire.
HFD and HPD responded for a structure fire. Co-10 arrived on scene to find a single
story wooden structure partially involved in fire. The structure was aprox. a 30′ x 40′
single family home. Extingushing operations were initiated by Co-10 with E-18 and
VE-10D supplying additional water and manpower. No occupants were home at the
time of the fire. HPD arrived on scene first to help create a safe scene during fire
extinguishment operations. The fire was extinguished and overhaul completed. 3
family dogs were located during overhaul that were overwhelmed during the fire and
found deceased. The scene was turned over to HPD and HFD Inpectors with all other
HFD units returned to quarters. HPD and HFD inspectors to perform further
investigation and interview of neighbors to determine the cause of the fire. The
residence seemed to be in normal use, however no residents were home at the time
