5 bills become law without Gov. Green’s signature
HONOLULU — On Thursday, five bills became law without a signature for Gov. Josh Green. The bills relate to domestic abuse, collective bargaining, nepotism, bonds and hemp.
While Green signed 263 bills that passed during the 2023 legislative session, another five will go into law without his help.
According to a news release, the governor does not support the bills, but he considers them more beneficial than objectionable. The bills also had strong stakeholder support.
