Poi supper fundraiser celebrates Queen Liliʻuokalani’s 185th birthday
HONOLULU — The Friends of Iolani Palace celebrates Queen Liliʻuokalani’s 185th birthday with weekend events on Sept. 2 and 3.
“Our alii enjoyed celebrating their birthdays and other milestones with delicious food, mele and hula, and what better way to mark Queen Liliʻuokalani’s 185th birthday than with a poi supper right here on the grounds of Iolani Palace,” said Paula Akana, executive director of The Friends of Iolani Palace in a news release.
