Daisy Luhia Naihe, 89, of Hilo died Aug. 12 at home. Born in Kohala, she was an assistant dining room manager for the former Naniloa Hotel and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keaukaha Ward. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday (Sept. 8) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hilo Stake Center. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Aloha attire; no flowers. Survived by daughters, Daisy Mae (Rudolph) Kamohai, Lurae (Charles Koba) Hanohano, Candace (Daniel) Aina and Tracey (Raynard) Kapuni of Hilo, Elizabeth (Lance) Benevides of Volcano and Lee Ann (Leonard) Napierskie of Neosho, Mo.; son, Robert (Tina Marie) Naihe Jr. of Hawi; sisters, Theresa Mahi of Kalaoa, Kona, Cynthia Hatanaka of La Palma, Calif., and Vivian Kim of Niulii; brother, Charles Phillip of Brooksville, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Phillip of Marina, Calif., Linda Naihe of Halaula, Kohala, Blanche Naihe of Philadelphia and Kathy Carvalho of Hilo; 25 grandchildren; great- and great-great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.
