…FLOOD WATCH FOR ALL HAWAIIAN ISLANDS FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON…
* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE…All the main Hawaiian islands.
* WHEN…From Sunday evening through Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be
closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas
may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to
rapid runoff.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– A cold front will move over the state from late Sunday
through Tuesday. As the front moves over the islands,
conditions will become increasingly favorable for the
development of heavy rain that will be conducive to flash
flooding. The heaviest rain is expected initially for Kauai
beginning late Sunday, then spreading down the island chain
to the remaining islands on Monday. A few thunderstorms will
be possible as well.

Instructions:
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
