DOCARE cites organizer of Saturday’s rescued kayakers
HONOLULU — The Department of Land and Natural Resources’ Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement has cited the person who coordinated the kayak group that was rescued on Jan. 6 for “allegedly engaging in commercial activity in state waters,” according to a DLNR news release.
Robert Twogood, president of Kailua kayak company Twogood Kayaks Hawaii, Inc., was with the group of 21 kayakers rescued off Makapuu Point Lighthouse on Saturday.
