An alliance of local Lions Clubs has partnered with the city to equip 20 south- and windward shore areas with rescue tubes.

The 52-inch, yellow foam rescue tubes, which include a black lanyard strap, can help distressed ocean users and rescuers stay afloat during an ocean rescue. The tubes are affixed to designated, highly visible stands accessible from Kawaiki Beach Park in Aina Haina to Kailua Beach Park.
