Update #2: as of 12:42 p.m. 3/14/25
Hawai‘i Island Police are clearing homes in the area of Manono and Leilani Streets in Hilo in their search for an armed and dangerous suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a police officer. Please avoid the area.

Officer remains in serious condition.

The suspect,  39-year-old Christopher Lucrisia, is on foot in the vicinity of Manono and Leilani Streets. Lucrisia is described as Puerto Rican, 5’10”, 250 pounds, green eyes, black hair.

Call 911 if you see suspect.
