Dramatic Dashcam Video Shows Rescue On Busy Tennessee Interstate
A potentially devastating situation on a busy Tennessee interstate was turned into a life-saving moment thanks to the quick thinking of a fellow truck driver.

According to WTVF, trucker Matt Munson was driving on Interstate 840 in Rutherford County when he noticed something wasn’t right. Another tractor-trailer ahead of him had slowed to a crawl and was weaving across the roadway as traffic sped past.
When Munson pulled alongside the truck, he saw the driver slumped over the steering wheel and immediately realized the driver was in serious trouble.
“When I passed him he was laying on his steering wheel and I knew that wasn’t right,” Munson told WTVF.
Dashcam footage shows the out-of-control semi drifting toward the shoulder while cars narrowly passed by. Munson quickly pulled over about a quarter mile ahead, jumped out, and ran back toward the moving truck.
By that point, the semi had rolled onto the shoulder, but Munson feared it could still roll back into traffic. He climbed into the cab and urgently called out to the driver, pushing on the man’s leg to help apply the brakes until the truck finally came to a complete stop.
Highway patrol later confirmed that Munson’s fast response likely prevented a major disaster on the interstate. The semi driver had suffered a medical emergency and is now recovering.
