The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Hawaii Island for the North and South Kohala, Ka`u, Hawaii Island Interior District(s) through Tuesday evening.
A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of at least 30mph and/or frequent gusts of at least 50mph are expected.
Due to the Wind Advisory, please be advised:
- Those in the advisory area should take necessary precautions.
- Prepare for power outages.
- Drive with caution and be aware of debris, downed trees, and utility lines.
- Please stay clear of downed utility lines and report all hazards to authorities.
