September’s hana:
With the substantial amounts of rain and wind Kohala has received in the past month, our hana this month will focus on…weeding and cleanup! Non-native grasses and vines compromise the health and well-being of our native trees and shrubs, so we’ll work together to give our beloved hoa lā‘au (plant friends) space to breathe, grow, and thrive.
We provide the tools and drinking water needed for each day’s hana. We’ll gather for lunch around noon so please bring your lunch, reusable beverage container, and any snacks you’d like to have on hand.
