Salesman Prays With Woman Battling Health Issues, Then Returns With Big Surprise
A routine sales visit to a Texas home turned into something far more meaningful when a young home improvement specialist met a woman facing serious health challenges and decided to show her that kindness still exists in the world.

When Caleb Killough knocked on Melinda Potosky’s door in Keller, Texas, he expected a normal work appointment. Instead, the visit quickly became deeply personal for both of them.
Killough said there was something about Potosky that immediately reminded him of his late grandmother.
“There was something in her eyes,” he said. “She reminded me of my Gammy. She’s no longer with us.”
As they talked, Potosky opened up about her health struggles, explaining that doctors are closely monitoring her condition and that a transplant could eventually become necessary. Hearing that struck an emotional chord with Killough, whose own father underwent a double lung transplant six years ago.
“I thought I was going to lose my father, so it was very emotional,” he said.
What began as a simple conversation between a salesperson and homeowner soon turned into an unforgettable connection. Moved by her situation, Killough asked if he could pray with her right there in her home.
For Potosky, the encounter came at exactly the right time.
“He was the most delightful young man I’ve ever encountered, and we have just seemed to click,” she said.
But the story did not end there.
The following Monday, Killough returned with a surprise that left Potosky overwhelmed with gratitude. The company he works for, Texas Home Improvement, offered to complete needed repairs on her home completely free of charge.
The gesture transformed an ordinary work call into something neither of them will likely ever forget.
“I think I’m going to have to invite him to be my grandson,” Potosky said.
