Filomena Longboy Badua, 82, of Kapaau died Aug. 3 at home. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was retired from Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and a member of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church and Kohala Filipino Community Club. Visitation with all-night vigil 6 p.m. Friday, Sep. 18 at the family home on Maulili Road. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Sep. 19 at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at Hawi County Cemetery. Lunch to follow. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Bernie Badua, Edison (Sunshine) Badua of Kauai and Dennis (Florence) Pascua; daughters, Evelyn (Melvyn Ventura) Macalma and Mary Jane (Wilfred Jr.) Sulliban; brother Agustin Longboy; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
