Katsumi Kobayashi, 90, of Hawi died Jan. 30 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Mountain View, he was a retired carpenter and member of Hawi Jodo Mission. Private services held. Survived by daughter, Ann (Stan) Okahara of Hilo; sons, Guy (Emi) Kobayashi of Kohala, Ken Kobayashi of Kona and Jay Kobayashi of Hilo; stepsons, Mach Fukada of Maui, Richard Fukada of California and Ray Fukada of Kohala; stepdaughter, Lani Fukada of Mainland; brother, Wayne Kobayashi of Hilo; sister, Jean (Tony) Kawasaki of Honolulu; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
