Richard Herrick Noble, 86, of Hawi died April 15 at home. Born in Huron, S.D., he was a retired switching technician for the former Hawaiian Telephone Co., member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi and a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. Private services at a later date. Survived by wife, Roseline Noble of Hawi; sons, Bill (Carol) Noble of Kailua-Kona and Derek (Joanne) Noble of Hilo; daughter, Barbara (James) Lincoln of Hawi; sister, Kay Gregg of South Dakota; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
