ROAD CLOSURE ON LANIKAULA STREET FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
The Kaiwilahilahi Gulch Bridge, managed by the County of Hawaiʻi Department of Public Works Engineering Division, has been closed since Thursday, January 18, due to a recent inspection that found a specific section of the bridge has experienced heightened deterioration. Repair work is slated for the summer of 2024, and the bridge will stay closed until these repairs are concluded.
For safety, visible traffic control signs and barricades will be strategically positioned along the roadside.
