Emergency repair work to impact customers in Kohala today
Outage from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
HILO, Feb. 21, 2024 – Hawaiian Electric must perform emergency repair work that will require a power outage for about 2,000 customers in Kohala from 3 to 7 p.m. today.
One lane of Kohala Mountain Road near the 14 mile marker will be closed while work is being performed. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area and plan for delays.
Service for customers from the Kohala Ranch subdivision on Kohala Mountain Road to Pu‘uhue Ranch will not be interrupted.
