Utility work to close one lane of Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa
Dec. 18 from 10 p.m. to Dec. 19 at 6 a.m.


HILO, Dec. 16, 2024 – Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole on Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa Village from Wednesday evening, Dec. 18, to Thursday morning, Dec. 19.

 

The overnight repair work will close one lane of Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa Village from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, to 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19. Crews also will be in the area on Wednesday to prepare for the work from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but the lane will remain open during this time.

Flagmen will be onsite to provide traffic control. Motorists are advised to drive with caution when approaching and passing the work zone.
