Wayne Kealoha Iokepa, 69, of Kapaau died March 22 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. Born in Hilo, he was an outside plant construction manager for Charter Communications, member of The Royal Order of Kamehameha I and participant with the Kamehameha Parade in Kailua-Kona. Survived by wife, Kanani Iokepa of Kapaau; sons, Pomai (Stacy) Kualii of Kapaau, Lopaka (Courtney) Kualii of Hawi and Punahele (Mimi) Kualii of Aurora, Colo.; brothers, Arthur (Jan) Iokepa and Melvin Iokepa of Hilo; sisters, Elizabeth (Lee) Abbott of Honolulu and Cecilia “Ulu” Knowlton of Hilo; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; nephews, nieces and cousins.
