MOLOKAI MAUI AND BIG ISLAND.... 
 
.A large north-northwest swell will peak today, producing 
dangerously high surf along exposed north and west facing shores, 
with the potential for localized coastal inundation with the high 
tide this morning. Along east facing shores, rough and choppy 
surf is expected for most of the next week as strong trade winds 
will persist. 
 
...HIGH SURF WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM HST MONDAY... 
 
* SURF...20 to 30 feet along north and west facing shores of 
Niihau, Kauai and Molokai, and north facing shores of Oahu, Maui 
and the Big Island. Along east facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, 
Molokai, Maui and the Big Island, 5 to 8 feet today and tonight, 
increasing to 6 to 10 feet Monday. 
 
* TIMING...through tonight for north and west facing shores, and 
through at least Wednesday for the east facing shores. 
 
* IMPACTS...Very High...Expect ocean water surging and sweeping 
across beaches, coastal benches, and lava flows creating the 
potential for impacts to coastal properties and infrastructure, 
including roadways. Powerful longshore and rip currents will be 
present at most beaches.
Instructions: Large breaking surf, significant shorebreak, and dangerous currents make entering the water very hazardous. These dangerous conditions mean that only highly experienced persons should enter the water. Inexperienced persons should remain off beaches and adjacent beachfront areas. Know your limits; when in doubt, don`t go out.
