Elderly Man Left Neighbor’s Daughter 14 Years Worth Of Christmas Gifts
A Welsh father could not believe his eyes when his neighbor’s daughter knocked on the door to drop off a large bag filled with Christmas gifts.
The neighbor, Ken, lived next door to the Williams family for two years and had recently passed away.
It turns out he had been buying Christmas gifts for the Williams’ 2-year-old daughter for the next 14 years.
“It was like a Mary Poppins’ bag, the presents kept coming. It’s an actually unbelievable Christmas story.”
Williams said Ken was 83 years old when they first met two years ago.
“The first time I met him, he was bouncing a 20ft ladder across the face of his house. He was on top. He was 83 at the time.”
He said Ken was a former salvage marine diver, a seaman, a carpenter, an engineer, an accordian player — and a great baker.
Williams described Ken as a “real character.”
The Williams family opened one of their daughter’s gifts, but remain unsure about what to do for the rest.
“I’m gobsmacked at how you could plan this for 14 years.”
However, the majority of people following the story think the Williams family should comply with Ken’s wishes and give their daughter one present each year.
