Donna Mamie Hara, 55, of Arlington, Va., formerly of Kohala, died May 1. She was a surgical nurse at the former Hilo Hospital and Kohala Hospital, worked at the George Washington Medical/Surgical Unit and George Washington Health Plan and was a hospice nurse at Capital Caring. Celebration of life 4 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington. No flowers. Memorial donations to Mokupapa Discovery Center, 76 Kamehameha Ave., Hilo, HI. Survived by husband, Michael Hara; sister, Darlene (Abel) Maldonado; half-brother, Dwayne Rodgers; mother-in-law, Marian Hara; brother-in-law, Kevin (Norma) Hara; other family.
