Albert Kaia Pule Sr., 73, of Hilo died Nov. 7 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Niulii, North Kohala, he was a retired Hawaii County police officer, U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ainaola Ward. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual or aloha attire.
