Arthur E. Palama, 78, of Hawi died Feb. 13 at home. Born on Kauai. He owned Palama Contracting and was a member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha. Services to be held on Kauai. Survived by wife, Lena Palama of Waimea; son, Roger (Taira Kajiwara) Palama of Kauai; daughter, Alice Nanai (Randall) Soares of Kauai; brothers, David (Moana) Palama of Kauai and Stephen (Kathy) Palama of Kauai; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
