Fred Guillermo Camero Sr., of Kapaau, formerly of Lanai City, Lanai, died Feb. 21 at ‘Ano‘ano care home in Kapaau. Born in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired pineapple field worker for Dole, entertainer, and was honored with wife, Rosita as “Parents of the Year” by the State Philippine Cultural Foundation. Private visitation 3-4 p.m. Sunday (March 8) at Lanai ILWU Hall. Public visitation 4-6 p.m. Celebration of life 6 p.m. Memorial Mass 8:30 a.m. Monday (March 9) at Lanai Sacred Hearts Church. Survived by his wife, Rosita Magaoay Camero; children, Philip Vance Camero, Joan Camero Parris, Carmela Magaoay Camero, Fred Guillermo Camero Jr., Amalia ArcieRose Camero Kettering, and Cameron Patrick Camero; 15 grandchildren.
