James Sagucio
James “Jimmy” Jaime Sagucio, 88, of Kapaau, died Dec. 24, 2021, in Hilo. Born in Hawi, he was retired from Hawaii Preparatory Academy and former Kohala Sugar Co., had worked for the state Highways Division in Waimea, U.S. Army Korean War veteran and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi and Kohala Senior Citizens.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 19 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 9:30 a.m. Mass. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers. Urn committal service at a later date.
He is survived by wife, Stella Sagucio of Kapaau; daughter, Laura (Severino Jr.) Urubio of Hilo; son, Jay (Donna) Sagucio of Waimea; brother, Joseph (Fusako) Sagucio of Florida; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
