Georgiana Caravalho
Georgiana Leinaala Caravalho, 76, of Riverside, California and formerly of North Kohala died Feb. 18 at the Riverside Community Hospital in California. Born on Oahu, she was a retired teacher and Vice Principal for the State of Hawaii Department of Education at Waimea Elementary, Keonepoko Elementary and Kohala Elementary Schools, former Volunteer Fire Chief for the North Kohala Volunteer Firefighters and a graduate of Roosevelt High School on Oahu. Private scattering of ashes to be held at a later date. Survived by daughters, Leina’ala (Dan) Koshiyama of Hilo; Virginia (Senobio) Aguilera of Riverside, California; son, Daniel (Leanne) Caravalho of Waikoloa; sister, Charlotte Schnieders of Florida; brother George (Inez) Butterfield Jr. of Nevada; brother-in-law, Earl “Kenneth” Caravalho of Hilo; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
