Haruko Mitchell, 86, of Kapaau died Oct. 20 in Kapaau. Born in Mahukona, she was a retired nursery worker for Kohala Nursery, laborer for the former Kohala Sugar Co. and member of Kohala Senior Citizen Club and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward. Private services. Survived by daughters, Valerie Mitchell of Las Vegas, Janice (Russell) Reese of Edgewood, Md., and Sharon Mitchell of Thatcher, Ariz.; son, Glen (Emma) Mitchell of Honolulu; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
