Barbara Mikiala Brand, 72, of Waimea died Oct. 19 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kohala, she was employed by Dillingham-Young Brothers Co. and W.M. Keck Observatory and member of the “BIB” crew. Private services. Survived by brother, Krauth Olani Brand; sister, Marjorie Ulumahiehie Sniffin White. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
