Violet Namanu “Manu” Salvador, 87, of Hawi died Feb. 25 at daughter’s home. Born in North Kohala, she was retired from the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow at Dodo Mortuary Crematory. Urn burial 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, at Hawi Catholic Church Cemetery. Aloha attire. Survived by sons, Ricardo E. “Ricky Boy” Salvador of Hawi and Craig (Kimberly) Salvador of Grand Junction, Colo.; daughters, Naomi “Mona” (Danny) Batino of Hawi, Vernette (Anthony “Tony”) Lorenzo of Las Vegas and Rita (Michael) Maria of Kapaau; sisters, Charlotte Mahana Dupre of Hilo, Kathleen Leialoha (Clive) Fernandez of Kawaihae, Bertha Maile Cabellero of Hilo and Ronnie Alonzo of Kurtistown; 12 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
