Emergency Repairs Planned for Aliʻi Drive
Emergency repairs will take place on a 150-foot-section of the makai lane and shoulder of Aliʻi Drive starting Monday, May 18.
The project, located in the vicinity of Island Lava Java at 75-5815 Aliʻi Drive, is expected to last about three months with normal working hours from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The makai lane will be closed throughout the project with a one lane two-way contraflow on the mauka lane operated by portable traffic signals.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, use caution when traveling through the area, and allow extra travel time.
The Department of Public Works appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this necessary repair work is completed.
