Richard Hong, 86 of Hilo died Sept. 14 at Yukio Okutsu Veterans State Home in Hilo. Born in South Kohala, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. No services at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions. Survived by daughter, Ricki (Sandra Bogaars) Hong; hanai sons, Steven Abe and Robert Guerrero; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
