Hanako Yamamoto, 92, of Keaau died Aug. 12 at home. Born in Kohala, she was a retired She was retired kitchen pantry worker at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward and former member of Kohala Senior Citizens Club, Retired And Senior Volunteer Program and Na Kupuna O Kohala Hula Halau. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 13) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward, 55-524 Hawi Rd. in Hawi. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Survived by sons, Jeffrey K. (Rosemary) Yamamoto of Kapaau and Wesley (Tarne) Yamamoto of Hawi; daughters, Beverlee (Wayne) Yoneda of Honokaa and Rae (Elston) Takayama of Keaau; brother-in-law, Manuel (June) Yamamoto of Kohala; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Yamamoto of Arizona; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
