Vivian Leimokihana Kim, 83, of Niulii, formerly of California, died Feb. 10 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. She was a retired bank employee, store manager, caregiver and Kohala High School alumna who loved gardening and ‘ohana Private celebrations of life Friday (March 7) in Hilo and Saturday (March 8) in Niulii. Survived by partner, Al Laning; siblings, Charley Phillip and Cynthia Hatanaka; sons, Jeffrey (Brenda) Kim and Daniel (Susan) Kim; son-in-law, Cesar Herrera; hanai daughter, Jamie (Nina) Almarez; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
