Brian Joseph “Crazy Rat” Santiago, 51, of Kohala March 26 at St. Francis Hospice on Oahu. Born in Kohala, he was a mechanic and member of Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-9:45 a.m. Saturday (June 21) at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Urn burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by children, Kai Santiago of Hilo, Angel Elarco of Kawaihae and Kalina Santiago of Kohala; father, Augustine “Auggie” Santiago of Kohala; siblings, Tammy Santiago and Augustine Santiago Jr. of Kohala; grandmother, Dorothy “Dora” Caravalho of Kohala; four grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
