Hawai‘i Police Department to Host Scavenger Hunt Beach Cleanup at Old Airport
The Hawai‘i Police Department’s Kona Community Policing Section, in partnership with Miss Aloha Hawaiʻi Scarlette Burnham-Rosario, invites community members to participate in a Scavenger Hunt Beach Cleanup on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Old Airport Recreation Area in Kailua-Kona.
The event begins at 7 a.m. and is open to individuals and families who want to help keep Hawaiʻi Island’s coastline clean while taking part in a fun, interactive scavenger hunt experience.
Participants will assist in removing litter and debris from the shoreline while promoting environmental stewardship and community pride through mālama ʻāina. The event is designed to bring community members together for a meaningful morning of service while helping preserve Hawaiʻi’s beaches for future generations.
Community members are encouraged to bring friends and family and take part in this free event.
